Dental assisting is a a rapidly growing field in today’s workforce. With the increasing need for dental services, dental practices and clinics are looking more and more to dental assistants to provide quality service and patient care. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has determined that the dental assisting occupation will continue to grow and expand for the next several years.
Dental assistants are versatile individuals who run the front office, assist the dentist chairside, take x-rays and various other tasks as needed under the dentist’s supervision. Dental assistants have to be able to prioritize their tasks, communicate well, anticipate the needs of the dentist and the patient and interact with the public with a friendly and professional demeanor.

About the Program
All-State Career – Healthcare Division offers training to become a dental assistant. The goal of its yearlong program is to make sure that students come away with the skills and knowledge necessary to be competitive in the growing field of dental assisting. Administrative and clinical courses, as well as hands-on training are essential parts of the program. Radiologic training is also available for students who want to expand their skills.
Students will also benefit from career and academic counseling services, the weekend and evening hours, as well as the job placement assistance for those who graduate.
Accreditation
All-State Career School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT), an organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Student Requirements
All-State Career School’s Healthcare Division requires prospective students to have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants are also required to complete a personal information sheet and do a personal interview with admissions staff.
Tuition Information
The National Center for Education Statistics estimates that the tuition and fees for All-State Career School’s dental assisting program is $13,810 for the 12-month program. For more accurate figures, contact a school representative.
Qualified students may be eligible for federal student aid, including subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford Loans, PLUS Loans, Pell Grants, Work-Study Programs. Ohio Instructional Grants and Work Force Development Grants may also be obtained, as well as Scholarship Programs for Graduating high school seniors.
School Locations
All-State Career School has four locations in Lester, Pittsburgh and Essington, Pennsylvania; and Baltimore, Maryland. The Healthcare Division, which offers the dental assisting program is located at the Essington and Baltimore campuses.

All-State Career School is a private, accredited, for-profit institution that offers one- and two- year certificate programs for a variety of professions, including truck driver training, dental assisting, HVAC/R, pharmacy technology, EMT/Paramedic training, Electrical Systems Technology and Medical Coding/Billing.
